Big Hero 6

Big Hero 6 is a 3D animation movie released by Walt Disney Animation Studios. It is inspired by the Marvel Comics super hero team of the same name. In a nutshell, it’s the story of Hero Hamada, a 14 year old genuis, and his quest to avenge the death of his brother, Tadashi, with the help of four other friends, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon, adrenaline junkie Go Go, neatnik Wasabi, and fanboy Fred and one squishy robot, Baymax, who was originally made as a healthcare companion. All six members, donning great costumes and high tech weapons/gadgets, form Big Hero 6.

Personally, the character I enjoyed the most was Baymax, as with everyone else who has watched this movie. You just can’t help but love the inflated balloon man who looks like the modern, smaller cousin of the Marshmallow Man in Ghostbusters. The way he moves is just so adorable and the fact that he’s a healthcare companion and is just totally dedicated to taking care of Hiro was the cherry on top of a great character. And that fist bump! I just want to squish him and squish him and never let go!

Next favorite would be Gogo Tomago, but mostly because Alodia Gosiengfiao did a great cosplay of her. If she didn’t, then my next favorite would be Fred. Awesome Fred. All he wanted was to be able to breathe fire like a dragon.

You gotta be kidding me… GoGo Tomago height is 5'4"… We have the same height…😵 #BigHero6

I have to admit, I didn’t pay that  much attention to the movie, I was looking at my four year old nephew’s reaction more because it was the first time he actually paid attention to the movie we were watching instead of asking to play on the PSP or his mother’s celphone or mine. He was doing the fist bump too after the movie. I guess this is additional attestation of how good this movie is.

All in all it’s a great movie, for kids and for adults. There’s great characters, a good story line, and a tear-jerking end. Watch it! Watch it! Watch it!

Note: I want my own Baymax or at least the doll… that expensive doll.
